Dear Exton Resident

We will be holding our AGM on Tuesday 10th April at 7.30 pm in the village hall. We would strongly urge as many residents as possible to attend.

We believe there is a need to inject young blood into this committee!  Four of us, myself, Brian Wood, Graham Murrin and Eileen Pratt have an average age of around 80 and with the ever increasing number of young families arriving in the village the time has come for change so that more events are focused on the children of the village.

Traditionally we have arranged three events:
The fete weekend in June, sometimes with a dinner on the Friday evening, and Halloween and Bonfire night

It has been suggested that this year we might arrange something to coincide with the Royal Wedding, but that will be in the ownership of the new committee.

We have a good balance of funds available and usually our biggest problem is what to spend it on!

So if you would be willing to help or join the committee your support will be very much appreciated. The older members of the committee are all keen to help in any way that they can but now believe that the drive and initiative must come from a younger generation.

Please come along on 10th April and we will hopefully have a few glasses of wine available with snacks so an indication of numbers would help. Please reply to

Kind regards
Richard Jacobs
